Land Art can be a simple and deeply meaningful practice. No tools required and zero waste! It’s also a great way to relax, express yourself and connect with the Earth.
Here's a simple practice to get you started:
Go to a beautiful natural area where you feel safe and welcome.
Sit down and close your eyes. Spend a few minutes connecting to your breath and grounding yourself.
Open your eyes and continue to notice the world around you and see what draws you in.
Get up and wander around the area.
Gather 5-9 different natural materials.
Offer thanks to the Earth for these beautiful materials to create with.
Bring them back and lay them out in front of you.
Start arranging them into an art piece.
Give your art piece a name.
If you'd like, take a photo of your art piece.
